Where is Placer Pulposo?
At Av 25 Esquina Calle 28, Playa del Carmen 77710, Quintana Roo. We sit on a neighborhood corner in downtown Playa, the kind locals know well: where playenses bring their visitors when they want to impress.
What kind of food do you serve?
We are a seafood restaurant. Ceviches, tostadas, shrimp and campechano cocktails, fresh oysters, seafood antojitos, and fish, shrimp and octopus tacos.
What are your hours?
We are open daily from 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
Do I need a reservation?
It is not required, but during high season it helps. Message us on WhatsApp at +52 984 128 5149 and we confirm right away.
Which dish should I not miss?
The Taco Tentáculo: octopus in achiote or zarandeado Nayarit style. It is the signature dish of the house.
Do you have options if I do not eat raw seafood?
Yes. Besides ceviches we have battered seafood fried to order, grilled octopus, shrimp empanadas and antojitos like guacamole and mixed chicharrón.
Is it expensive?
No. Fair prices are part of the house: we hold a 4.9 for Value on TripAdvisor. Generous portions without tourist-zone prices.
Do you take big groups?

Is it a tourist spot?
It is a place where playenses eat, and that is the best thing that can happen to a visitor. No inflated menu, no tourist-trap prices: honest seafood cooking, generous portions and neighborhood warmth. If you want to eat where the locals eat in Playa del Carmen, this is it.

Is there parking?
Yes, there is metered street parking in the surrounding blocks. You can also walk or bike over if you are around downtown.
