Placer Pulposo was born from a simple idea: Playa del Carmen deserved a seafood restaurant like the ones from back in the day. The kind that greets you by name, serves you generously and charges you fairly.
On 25th Avenue at the corner of 28th Street we built a seafood house with no pretensions: a breezy patio, tostadas made to order and a team that treats you like family coming over for lunch. This is where locals bring their visitors.
Three things we never compromise
One, truly fresh: the seafood is prepped the same day and the ceviche is marinated to order. Two, fair prices: eating great seafood should not hurt, which is why we hold a 4.9 for Value on TripAdvisor. Three, service on a first-name basis: hospitality is half the flavor, and our 4.9 for Service proves it.

Placer Pulposo is part of Grupo Restaurantero Oceanic del Caribe, a restaurant group rooted in the Riviera Maya. We share one conviction: hospitality shows in the details and the quality of the product is never up for negotiation.
